Do your physicians know how to identify (and
pacify) the patients who are most likely to sue?
Do your physicians know the three things that are
most likely to result in a lawsuit?
Do your physicians know the first thing they
should do when a patient has had a bad outcome or
there has been a significant complication?
Do your physicians know what to say to a patient
or the family of a patient when a significant
complication occurs?
Can your group transfer a patients care who
has filed a lawsuit against one of your
physicians?
If you do not know how to answer these questions
then there is a significant likelihood that your
group is not maximizing its medical malpractice
avoidance strategies and is not reducing its
potential exposure.
